Chess. Alexander Morozevich at the games of the fifth stage of the FIDE Grand Prix

The fifth stage of the FIDE Grand Prix will be held from 3 to 17 July in Beijing . We remind, that the FIDE Grand Prix 2012-2013 - it is a series of six chess tournaments. Players who take 1-2 place in the series, will participate at the Candidates Tournament , March 2014. Alexander Morozevich will take part in the tournament, now he shares third position (240).

The current position of the FIDE Grand Prix participants (top 10):

1. Veselin Topalov (Bulgaria) - 355 (3), 2. Fabiano Caruana (Italy) - 305 (3), 3-4. Shahriyar Mamedyarov (Azerbaijan), Alexander Morozevich (Russia) - at 240 (3), 5. Ruslan Ponomariov (Ukraine) - 235 (3), 6.Lener Dominguez (Cuba) - 225 (3), 7. Hikaru Nakamura (USA) - 215 (3), 8. Wang Hao (China) - 210 (2), 9. Gata Kamsky (USA) - 210 (3), 10. Sergey Karjakin (Russia) - 190 (2).

Time control: 120 minutes for the first 40 moves, 60 minutes for the next 20 moves and then each player will be allotted 15 minutes after the second time control and an increment of 30 seconds per move will be allowed from move 61 onwards.

Match days: 4-7, 9-12 and 14-16 July. Weekends: 8 and 13 July
